Juno retired from research in 2010, at the age of 5 years old. She was adopted by Founder, Kate Aubry, who says it was love at first sight. Juno is a smart girl, who took to her new life very quickly. Just 11 months after her release Juno became a certified therapy dog and has gone on to share her love with those living and working in Newtown, Ct, her local library as a Tail Waggin Tutor and accompanies Kate on many BeFreegle adventures. When not being a therapy dog or ambassador for other laboratory dogs, Juno loves to dig rather large holes in the garden and chase the resident groundhog.
To be considered to adopt a Freegle please fill out the online application for any of our available Freegles. Our adoption fee is $300, unless otherwise noted. Thalia – Born on 1/29/16 and retired from biomedical research on 8/8/17 Thalia who weighs in at 17 lbs. is making the most out of her new leash on life. She is learning about her brand new world and is walking well on leash and learning to potty outside. She is up to date on vaccinations, spayed and microchipped.
Groot – Born on 5/8/15 and retired from biomedical research on 5/12/17 Groot is embracing his new leash on life. He is nearly housetrained and is working on his leash walking skills. Groot loves to cuddle and give tiny little kisses to his favorite humans. He gets along very well with other dogs and would do best in a home with older children. Groot is up to date on his vaccinations, neutered and microchipped.
